Imagine It! is a comprehensive Reading and Language Arts program
that will teach your children to read, write, and think independently!
Imagine It! Invites parents to take an active role in reading and
writing instruction. When you are well-informed about your child's reading progress, you can
reinforce and supplement lessons in the home to help make reading a part of everyday life.
The best way to help your child succeed is to read with your children daily. Another way to
help is to speak with teachers often and to ask questions about your child's reading progress.
Whether your child is already reading or just beginning, your support is essential to
encouraging reading.

Tips for Parents
"My daughter and I love to do the finger play for "5 Little Monkeys". It helps her with rhythm and rhyming. It goes like this:
5 Little Monkeys jumping on the bed.
(bounce 5 fingers on the palm of the other hand)
One fell off and bumped his head. (touch head)
Mam called the doctor, and the doctor said,
(pretent to talk on the phone)
"That's what you get for jumping on the bed!" (shake finger)
4 little monkeys...(and so on with motions).
3 little monkeys...(and so on with motions).
2 little monkeys...(and so on with motions).
1 little monkey jumping on the bed. (motions)
he fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the doctor, and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!""
