Libros grandes and Libros pequeños (Big Books and Little Books) (K-1)
Grade Kindergarten: 12
Grade 1: 11

Libros grandes encourage young students to interact with fine literature, explore concepts of book and print awareness, expand vocabulary knowledge, and develop listening comprehension. Libro pequeño versions of the Libros grandes (identical in every way except size) are a resource for students to read independently or in small groups during Workshop.

Lectura primera (First Reader) (Grade 1, Units 5 and 6)

The Lectura primera gives students in Grade 1 support as they transition from controlled decodable text to more complex text in the anthologies.

Vamos a comenzar (Getting Started Reader) (2)

The Vamos a comenzar in Grade 2 offers extra support and additional fluency practice for students as they transition from first to second grade.

Lecturas del estudiante (Student Readers) (1-6)
Grades 1-4: 2 per grade level (Book 1: Units 1-3); Book 2: (Units 4-6)
Grades 5-6: 1 per grade level

By the middle of Grade 1, students have the decoding skills to read authentic literature included in the Lecturas del estudiante. Each Lecturas del estudiante contains literature, both fiction and non-fiction as well as poetry, which is organized into themes. The literature at all grade levels represents the diversity of our society. In addition, expository selections in science and social studies teach students to read in the content areas and reinforces key state science and social studies standards.

Equipo para la conciencia fonémica y la fonética (Phonemic Awareness and Phonics Kits) (K-3)

Phonemic awareness and phonics instruction and review play a crucial role in ¡Imagínalo!, especially in the primary grades. Components include alphabet and phonics cards, game mats, write-on/wipe-off boards with magnetic uppercase and lowercase letters, and other items to support instruction.

Libro grande de artes del lenguaje (Language Arts Big Book) (K-1)

The Language Arts Big Books are designed to present essential language arts and writing skills in an engaging and developmentally appropriate manner to young students.

Práctica de destrezas (Skills Workbooks) (K-6)

  • Alphabet Knowledge
  • Phonemic Awareness
  • Inquiry
  • Phonics
  • Comprehension
  • Spelling
  • Vocabulary
  • Writing
  • Grammar, Mechanics and Usage
There are two Skills Workbooks at each grade level, one for each half of the year. The workbooks also have all the skillsheets conveniently organized by lesson. These skillsheets provide students the opportunity to practice and apply the skills they are learning. These workbooks are an integral part of instruction.

Each Skills Workbook is available in three formats—Workbook, Blackline Master (BLM), and Annotated Teacher's Edition (ATE).

Predecodificables and Decodificables (Pre-Decodable and Decodable Stories) (K-3)
Grade K: 36
Grade 1 Core Set: 115
Grade 1 Practice Set: 80
Grade 2: 7 Books, each containing multiple decodable stories
Grade 3: 4 Books, each containing multiple decodable stories

Pre-Decodable Stories help students in Grade K and 1 learn about concepts of books and print and practice reading essential high-frequency sight words. Decodable stories provide fluency practice through phonetically controlled, connected text.

Conexión con el hogar (Home Connection) (K-6)

Letters in both English and Spanish for families enhance and strengthen their child's learning. Letters include information on reading strategies and skills, routines, commonly used reading definitions, and additional practice activities. Suggestions for family projects are included.
